This is the “Instant” version of the AdultInfoCard, but with no waiting and no shipping!  Each page of the application is self-explanatory, and you have the opportunity to edit carefully to make sure the entries are correct.  The last step is the picture, which you can crop as needed for the card.  When the information is complete, you access the card online and print it out.  Take the paper printed card to a local Kinkos, UPS store, or local print shop to have it laminated and you’re ready to go!

There are some small differences in the appearance of the instant versus the regular mailed AdultInfoCard:  the heading says “AdultInfoCard.com/Instant”, and there are two fields on the back.  The smaller Vital Info field has 250 characters, and the large 2-inch square can be used for trip specific or temporary information, which can be written on the laminated card with an appropriate pen and then easily erased.

Adult Safety ID Cards

The AdultInfoCard has specific personal information, name and contact telephone numbers for family or friends, and an additional emergency contact with relationship and phone number.  While most adults carry numerous forms of identification, including government issued cards like driver’s licenses and passports, they do not normally include information that might be needed in the event of a health emergency, accident, or other situation in which the adult cannot speak for him or herself.  Those cards are required in many circumstances, such as satisfying TSA requirements for travel; however carrying the AdultInfoCard is a great addition.  The entire back of the AdultInfoCard — with a total of 750 characters available — is for whatever information might be important for someone to know if they found the person alone or in distress.  This is the place for things like allergies, medical conditions, medications, extra contact numbers, etc.  Each card comes with a soft cotton “break-away” lanyard in a wide choice of vibrant colors, but can be tucked into a wallet or purse for easy access.  The AdultInfoCard is a great idea for all adults to have in the event of an accident, but can be of particular value for anyone with a health or cognitive issue.
